Build A Bridge Run!
In the Fall of 2013, our good friends and partners at Five Rivers MetroParks got the disturbing news that the connecting bridge for the Buckeye, North Country Trails, new bikeway extensions on Creekside, and Mad River Bikeway over the lagoon at Eastwood MetroPark was condemned by the inspection engineers. The bridge was deemed unsafe for all vehicular traffic including park maintenance vehicles.
The Board of Trustees of your Ohio River Road Runners is promoting a 5K/10K to help our partners at Five Rivers raise funds for this unexpected expense. We are hosting the event on August 16th with net proceeds going to Five Rivers to help offset the cost. The Board will also be doing a matching funds contribution from ORRRC.
Up and Running is donating the first place awards for Overall Male and Female, as well as Female and Male Master and Grand Master.
*Because this race is a fundraising race, all participants will be required to pay the registration fee to participate. Typical ORRRC free/reduced registration rates to not apply.*
